Planning applications are submitted first to the Parish Council for comment but the final decision rests with Cheshire East Council. New planning applications are listed on the Parish Council Meeting Agenda and reviewed by the Parish Council, by law each councillor should come to the meeting without having pre-determined their decision and after discussion and listening to any submissions the Parish Council will then vote on a final decision.
Since the Parish Council does not determine the planning outcome they will for smaller applications offer no comment, but for applications they feel are not in line with the needs of the community they may recommend approval with comments or caveats or recommend refusal and offer their reasons for rejection.
Full details on all planning applications can be found at the Cheshire East Planning website. You will need to know the plan number or search on a postcode.
Land behind Tweddle Close
As part of the development of houses on Tweddle Close an option was granted to the Parish Council to buy the strip of land behind the houses for a nominal £1. The Parish Council completed this transaction in October 2018 and after consultation the land will host a community woodland. The initial trees were kindly supported by Duchy Homes who will be donating some native British trees. The land will be strimmed but we intend to keep as a wild flower area rather than a manicured space.
96% voted Yes at the Referendum, there were 446 YES votes and 17 NO votes, with a turn out of 43.76%. Thank You Bunbury for supporting the Neighbourhood Plan.
